Alphonso Mangoes

$62.00

Extremely temperamental
Very sensitive to the changes to the weather.
Very delicate fruit to handle
It has genetic issue related to it, namely Spongy tissue. Spongy tissue is the part of the fruit’s flesh which doesn’t get ripen up. Although a lot of research has been done in identifying spongy tissue early, yet there is no definite solution of identifying it. We do as much as testing as possible before importing the fruit but it is not always possible to stop this from happening. Thus Alphonso is sold “AS IS”.
Even with all these issues and risk, it is one the most selling varieties every year.

Alphonso mangoes, popularly known as Hapus, are often hailed as the “king of fruits”—and for good reason. This prized variety stands out as the most sought-after among Indian mangoes, known for its rich aroma, exceptional sweetness, and smooth, fibreless flesh.

The first bloom of Alphonso mangoes typically occurs in early February, when the weather is just right to support flowering.

However, Alphonso mangoes are quite temperamental and highly sensitive to weather fluctuations. They are also delicate by nature and prone to a genetic condition called spongy tissue, which can affect their quality.

These mangoes are primarily cultivated in the Indian states of Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujarat. We source our mangoes exclusively from these regions to ensure we deliver only premium, export-grade fruits.

The mangoes you receive will be ripe or nearly ripe, and can be enjoyed within 3–4 days from the pickup date. To extend their freshness, fully ripened mangoes can be stored in the refrigerator.
